Qualified teachers
Most of our teachers have music degrees (Bachelor's and/or Master's), and young teachers recruited to join our team benefit from the support and guidance of our experienced teachers.
Courses open to all
Our courses are aimed at children (from age 4), teenagers and adults of all levels (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
We also have expertise with students with special challenges/needs (autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, dyslexia, giftedness, etc.).
Structured program
We offer our students the opportunity to take part in concerts, competitions and exams (optional). Recognition of credits with the Quebec Ministry of Education is possible through the École de musique Vincent d'Indy or the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.
Brigitte Rivet, Director
École de musique de Châteauguay was founded by Jocelyne Laberge in 1978.
Brigitte Rivet, the current owner, attended the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu branch from 1981 to 1991. She then founded École de musique de Napierville in 1996, while completing her bachelor's degree in music at the Université de Montréal.
So it was with a solid background in the field that she became owner of the École de musique de Châteauguay on March 14, 2008.
The music school continues its mission in line with Mrs. Laberge's philosophy, while taking into account the new needs of today's families.
